8. The mixer
The mixer: channel strips, groups, returns, and the master strip whose limiter ends every export.
- Tab cycles to the Mixer (or Ctrl+Alt+M).
- Each strip: meter, pan, fader, mute/solo.
- Groups and returns: route tracks to a group bus, or send them to a return (e.g. a shared reverb) — the return strips appear next to the master.
- The master strip is the sum of everything; the limiter in its chain is what keeps an export from clipping.
